Parking can be a problem in the larger towns, but if you go away from the center and walk a short distance normally you can find a place.

The road to Matala from Hania is probably best over Spilli, as thats worth looking at anyhow because of the lion head fountain. The road is ok but be ware just after spilli as there are some road works. Probably no delay, just dug up.

Personally, I dont think the caves, (read holes), at Matala are much to right home about, but there are a few "real" caves around that are worth visiting.
