I agree that the reporting of events in Greece has probably been unhelpful for the tourism industry this year but as far as I can see the reporting by the BBC has been no more negative than the situation. |
It is unfortunate, but to shoot the messenger may not be helpful in the longterm. Exposure of the high level corruption in Greece may well lead to the removal of corruption and its drag on the economy. Downsizing of the public service and the subsequent 'freeing up' of the Greek economy including the airlines may well have long term advantages for the future of Greece and its tourism.
