Paligremnos - Studios close to the beach - Plakias

The village of Plakias and Paligremnos Studios are located at the beautiful south coast of Crete, at the opposite side of the city of Rethymnon. Distance from Crete's airports in Chania and Heraklion is about 120km; the first 80km are a smooth ride along the northside's highway, the second part from Rethymnon to Plakias via main roads is rather like natural sight seeing, especially when it comes to these impressive gorges around Plakias.

As the city of Rethymnon is in sight, leave the highway and turn towards Spili. About 20km turn right to Plakias, pass the village of Koxare and keep on driving along the winding road over the countryside. The village of Asomatos follows after passing Kourtaliotiko Gorge, after the village turn left to Lefkogeia and keep on driving to Plakias. All crossing have bilingual signs.

At the beach turn left until Paligremnos can be seen on the left hand side.
