Itinerary 1
Paliohora to Elafonissi

Elafonissi is a small islet on the southwest of Crete. It is connected to the beach with a shallow reef (max. depth 1 meter) that allows crossing when the sea is calm. The beach and the island is accessible by boat from Paliohora and by car from Hania.
We would suggest that you reach Paliohora and then follow the footpath that goes to Elafonissi. The full distance is covered in a leisurely pace in about three to four hours .
The path parallels the coastline , and on your way you will pass through tens of small beaches , isolated from each other, some of them barren and rocky and some sandy and covered with ceddar trees. You can camp in any one of these you feel like, although we would suggest picking one with trees , since the summer sun in Crete, is not something to joke about.
Thats about it!! Find a nice spot and prepare for some of the best holidays you ever had. Rest assured that you will meet with other visitors only when you want to, hear no city noises throughout your stay, and you will need to go to the town (Paliohora) only to get provisions.
